This entry should really be called 'It's this easy being green - a five year old can do it!'. My five year old did most of the work on this entry. He was helping me try to pick out a t-shirt design and was very interested in the idea of cake competitions. We picked a t-shirt that he could interpret and this is what we came up with!

We picked out a French vanilla mix and made it according to the directions, except for one small step - we added leaf green colouring to it. After baking it, letting it cool and admiring how green it was, we iced it with leaf green icing. We didn't have green sprinkles, but that's fine - it's easier without them.

This was a great way to spend an afternoon. My son loves watching cake shows and cake competitions so this made his day - actually participating in one!
