Hello! My name is Katie Flynn and I am currently a 19 year old film student at Emerson College. I love to bake cakes in my spare time, so when my friend emailed me a link to this website I couldn't resist entering!

As for the cake, I started by covering a round cake board with blue homemade marshmallow fondant to match the color of the actual t-shirt. I then baked a chocolate cake and carved it into the shape of the shirt design. Next I covered the cake in white fondant and then painted the fondant black with food dye. I made the piano keys and the eye out of fondant and black food dye and finished the cake off by making the water coming out of the whale's blowhole out of poured sugar (first time!!) that I hand shaped.

Overall I am happy with the final product and can't wait to make my next threadcake!!
