I needed something fun and cute for my last Threadcake and this one hit the spot! I used one box French Vanilla cake mix and divided it into 5 portions for the different colors. I only had 4 round cake pans, so I baked one in my modular pan that's supposed to make letters and numbers. I cut the cooled cakes to size and glued them together with a little bit of plain American buttercream. I made my husband eat a popsicle just so I would have the stick to put in it. =) I made a semi-sweet ganache for the topping. Some of it was stiffer, which I used to shape the drops, then I spread the runnier ganache on for the rest. I used a small round cookie cutter to get the bite marks out of the top. Even though the batter was plain, the colors made it seem like it tasted fruity!
