This is my first multi-layer cake. I had a heck of a time trying to make black fondant, so I got as close as I could. Painting the scenes was the most fun part of this cake. It was also my first time painting on fondant, so I used straight gel food coloring without alcohol or vanilla extract as a mix (whoops!). The bottom layer was chocolate, the middle was lemon, and the top was marble. It tasted great and was very popular at my work!
