Description
After taking last year off from the contest, I knew that anything I did this year had to be amazing! I chose this design because I thought it would be fun to start this year with a 2D design, and I really wanted to paint. Not to mention, this design is fabulous.
The cake only took around 6 hours start to finish, broken up over the course of two days. The cake itself was a butter cake with a chocolate buttercream filling. I love using this recipe because it comes out tasting like an E.L. Fudge cookie. I made my own fondant from marshmallows, and painted the entire design with icing coloring and whipped cream vodka. The board the cake is on was sprayed with Duff's cake graffiti spray.
This cake was super fun to make and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to do it again. I look forward to Threadcakes all year, it's better than Christmas!
