Old Old Friend

I chose this design because I named my son after Wolverine (Logan). I wanted to make my first entry into a decorating contest to be something I can tell him about when he is older.
The process of baking the cake was nothing spectacular. I used my circle pans for the first time, they are going to be awesome.
I started on decorations using fondant. Made the face, hands, and banner to let them sit out and dry. I assembled the cakes and covered with MMF.
Then the fun stuff. Making it come to life. Started on adding the circles and bottom border. Once it was ready for the decorations I assembled using white chocolate to set hard.
Then I had a complete cake. My husband thinks it's awesome, and I'm very happy with how it turned out.
Now to eat cake! Cappuccino cake with expresso buttercream. Yummmm
