Description
It was a bit of a rushed entry but I promised myself I would enter so I did. My son (who is 5) wants to be an astronaut and along with my pet hate of mowing my lawn when I saw the design Mown I thought well that's the one for me!
I assembled it using a 7" rounds base cake (white chocolate mud, covered in a white chocolate ganache..... delicious) using one centre dowel for support and a fondant 'cone' inbetween. I had initially put the moon on top of the bottom layer but it looked too 'flat'.
The astronaut was made of fondant and hand painted as was the lawn mower and the moon was handpainted as well to get the patchy crater effect.
