Description
My daughter chose this design to be her birthday cake. What better way to combine quirky & music for a 14 year old!
The cake is vanilla cake/vanilla buttercream fill/fondant iced. The seal is all cake with Fondant record flippers and Gumpaste nose-balanced record. As for inedible internal structure- basic wooden dowels were used to support the layers & toothpicks held the top record in place. Baking it to singing around it happened over a two day span.
The balanced record was replaced with a birthday candle & then they dug in. It was a hit!
