Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes

This cake is kind of a disaster! :D

It didn't take too long because I used a mix this time (oh no!). I wanted the inside to be a bit rainbow-y, so hopefully that would make up for it. First disaster was the soft ganache. I'd never made it before and it's really just like whipped cream combined with chocolate. I think I'll use a good quality chocolate next time because I didn't really care for it.

I don't really trust whipped cream as an icing so I added some cream of tartar to hopefully stabilize it. I had no problem with that. I DID have a problem with the colour. Apparently adding blue colouring to chocolate turns it an unappetizing poop brown! Gross!

Painting the image on with icing was unpleasant, as I couldn't get the right colours exactly, and if I tried to spread any of the icing it would slide right off. It's not perfect, but alright to me. Threw on sprinkles out of desperation to cover up some of the poop colour.

But of course, it tasted like cake. I made my boyfriend take the test bite, and then had to make him stop eating it.
