Being addicted to Threadless T's at our house, we have been avid followers of the Threadcakes contests....so what better to decide on a saturday evening than to try to get an entry in before the deadline. My 12 year old daughter and I debated long and hard to try to figure out what design we could actually finish. Our goal for this year was to get an entry in- not necessarily our most favorite ever.. and yeah! We managed it.
Step one was to have the correct attire..then we could put our mind to the baking. Our cake is french vanilla and we ended up baking more than we needed- this relates back to our "which t" argument.. Remy mixed batter and baked cakes, and I began work on our marshmallow fondant. We then made all the shapes from marshmallow treats and froze them so we could get them covered in frosting and fondant. We shaped, painted with food coloring paint and topped the cake with them.. pretty simple- everything is edible.. and sugar filled. And will fill our tummys with joy.. Can't wait for next year.. the planning begins now!
