Pet Octopus cake by mila prados

Description

Threadcakes again? oh ....
Internet is fatal.
The images do not load ... of course are too
When I load an image I like, the pc hangs.
to do?
No. There is no inspiration.
After several weeks of thinking
I think I will choose a design for my sister's birthday. One small and cute
It may not be the last .....

Bake a cake of your choice. No matter the recipe.
This cake is red wine and vanilla filling and chocolate ganache cake black liquor.
Small and compact.
I have ridden a structure with a dummy sticks lined.
Using RKT leg will be the basis of 3D cake
It is also the head and let it dry a couple of days at least.
I take steps, individually and the head was small ... but it's my interpretation.
When you have everything prepared and ready
carving the cake to fit the template.
Filling and chocolate frosting and let dry to handle
Then set the cake on the base and covered with fondant.
I chose white for cake, blue and pink for the dummy for the octopus.
Would come out a beautiful black and white photography
Once covered the body (it took two coats
), allowed to dry.
Make the ears in gum paste and let dry for two days minimum
Covers the head (three layers of gum paste and fondant)
Make the face skin color, eyes and whiskers made based on wire and licorice
ears and place the pet octopus shapes.

It was a four-day work, with its own interpretation of this emo bunny and his pet octopus.
Rose, Happy Birthday friend....and see you again
