There s Nothing Strange in Your Neighborhood

I chose this one cause the ghost is super cute and I thought I could do a good job! It was baked, butter creamed and decorated over three days, mostly at night! It is a chocolate victoria sponge and chocolate buttercream icing that I must say tastes delicious! To make the red circle I used a technique normally used for making star burst cakes, putting a disc of baking paper under the whole red circle, so that it wouldnt leave a mark after I cut out the middle. I cut out a template freehand for the ghost and for making the cuts into the red circle. To try and make the black sugarpaste (fondant) taste better, I started off with a chocolate paste. I used Clikstix to make the letters as the fonts were really similar too.
