First things first.. I had looked at the Threadless Tee shirt design gallery all the way through. I then chose my favorite designs in which I had narrowed down to two designs. I had then chosen to create "Noah Express" for my cake.
Baking the cake.. I bake cakes and cupcakes on a regular basis so I have mastered my recipes. I decided to go with my Chocolate recipe for this cake along with my Chocolate Oreo Buttercream Frosting. Having baked the chocolate cake.. I then made my Buttercream and Fondant. This is White Chocolate and Marshmellow Fondant which works really well with all my cakes. It is just like Milkybar.. Yummm !
I made all the colours I needed to create this design from my fondant and left these to one side. In order to create the characters I had decided to make my own rice crispy cake in order to form the shape and size easily. This was a sticky mess but worked really well..
The cake was cool.. So I then shaped it into the boat and layered the cake with the buttercream, I put this in the refrigerator for a long while and then covered this with fondant later on.
Once I had the boat ready and shaped I then started to create the Animals and Noah (of course) out of the rice crispy cake and Fondant, with the help from all my various tools etc (and the boyfriend). These worked really well and I am happy with the outcomes.
From this I could start to place the Characters into the Cake boat.. This was tricky however, I am happy with the final outcome. It might not be 'perfect' but it felt good once they we're all in there ! I feel my final cake has worked out preety well and it sure is one scrummy Noah Express (:
Thankyou very much for looking xo
