Description
Hi there,
Years ago I remember a woman tell her young daughter she was too old for balloons. It's what I thought when I saw this t-shirt. The fact that it was relatively straightforward to make helped too.
The cake is chocolate biscuit made in a ball pan. I covered it with sugarpaste and then airbrushed it to get the colour I wanted. Got a bit heavy handed with the blue/black though and lost the purple I'd built up but hey ho, right?
The balloons are simply malteasers covered in sugarpaste and and royal iced to the main sphere. The balloon strings are cake wires and the little girl herself is made of florist paste.
The kids have asked that next time I make a sponge cake, cackle. Turns out there is only so much cbc a kid can eat.
