Dinosaurs vs Robots vs Aliens

Description
This was my second year entering the Threadcakes competition. The design was an EASY choice for me this year; dinosaurs, robots and aliens with an obvious 80's retro flare? Count me in!
The cake is my go-to chocolate cake recipe with a mint swiss meringue buttercream filling and light chocolate swiss meringue buttercream crumb coat. This was covered entirely in an american buttercream tinted grey.
The details of the cake were made of fondant, gumpaste and 50/50. The "awesome" seal was made with wafer paper.
I used my airbrush to create the base of the night sky and used a painting technique to create the details.
This was definitely a fun cake to create!
