Description
This is my first ever Threadcakes entry and i came to know about it this week only. I think this is one of the best contests around - Threadcakes. The idea is exceptional and the experience is very wonderful to.
I loved so many Threadcakes designs but I liked HOPE IN THE SKY the title itself is so good. I'm always fascinated by lanterns in starry night. I have made a full moon night which is bright with the twinkling stars and the sky view through the leafless autumn trees is full of lanterns which symbolises HOPE.
The cake is a 4 layered shadow cake. The first layer is a starry night sky which is made with the help of airbrush. The stars are made with tooth brush and glitters.
The second layer is of lanterns which are hand painted with a hint of gold to make it bright and glowing.
The third layer is hand cut wafer paper to show the branches of the autumn trees which is covered with wafer paper frame.
