Description
Hello cake lovers! Welcome to my entry, So Quack.
I wanted the entire thing to be edible so I utilized a bunch of different items from dry spaghetti to modelling chocolate.
I started by baking a single sheet cake. I had buttercream leftover from birthday cake I made and off I went. I made the evergreen trees from rice cereal treats, spaghetti and royal icing. The others are from melted and piped milk chocolate with yellow coarse sugar sprinkled on the branches.
The cabin and rocks are made of modelling chocolate and hand painted with food coloring.
The quack has a core of cereal treats with yellow fondant wrapped around it. I finished it by painting it with food coloring to look like he was an oil painting. The mountains are stacked cake and buttercream that have been sculpted. The cake is finished in buttercream to make it look like a painting.
Everything is 100% edible except the board it's sitting on=)
