Description
This was an experiment in gluten-free flour. I really just want something for my son's birthday that my mom can eat that everyone else wants to eat too.
I did it over two days, taking a blended flour mix from a cookie recipe. The cake is banana with butter cream icing, lettering and a fondant layer. I used a leaf tip to make the feathers and a knife to make the creases in the "pillow" part.
I brought the cake to my uncle and aunt's anniversary party. Everyone was happy with the non-gluten flours, leftovers were taken for friends, and it looks like I found my son's birthday cake. Just needs chocolate!
