Description
I used Magnolia Bakery's white cake recipe and frosted it with buttercream frosting.
I divided the batter into three portions, and colored each one red, blue, and yellow. I crumb-coated the cake with white buttercream, then to make the clown, I used the frozen buttercream image transfer method (don't worry, the black icing is chocolate buttercream tinted black!). Iced the cake with yellow buttercream, put on the image, and watched my officemates eat the cake like deprived hyenas.
I loved seeing the look on their faces. First they saw the clown throwing up a rainbow, and when they cut the cake, it WAS the rainbow! It was such a hit that one of my team mates actually dubbed it "The Vomit Cake."
