Stop destroying our planet. It's where I keep...

I was inspired by my environmental roots to create a purse/planet in which to keep all of my 'stuff.' I started with a circular chocolate cake made from a box. The frosting is a decadent buttercream frosting. It was a new recipe and I LOVE IT! It is absolutely delicious and could be eaten on its own.
I then covered the cake with a marbly blue fondant. I cut out the shapes of the continents and pasted that on. From there it was all the little details: the zipper, the 'stuff,' and the handle. Most of the details don't show up very well in the photograph, but they were fun to do.
My girl figure was another story. I redid the head twice and the shirt twice. Her arms fell off, she's fallen over at least a dozen times. It's a miracle she made it through the photo shoot! You can see the variations in the different photographs.
All in all it was a good time. The best part? The sweet reward of eating it!
