Description
I chose this design because I just thought it was cute. I used boxed cake mixes for ease. I made a white cake and a devil's food cake. For the frosting I made a buttercream and a chocolate buttercream. I also made marshmallow fondant.
I made my cakes, I did this at night, as it is hot and I have not air conditioning! Once they were made they were frosted and the fondant got made. I then covered them and decorated them. I thought it would be fun to make some fondant fruitloops to add to the bowl. They are still being snacked on!
It took me a few days as I have 2 kids and my 6 month old picked this time to be extra whiny! I am glad I did this, it was lots of fun. I was hoping to do more than one entry, just for the joy of making the cakes, but am running out of time.
The final product was so good! I ate WAY too much cake and frosting. My daughters mouth was blue from liking the frosting.
