We're Toast

My sister came across the threadcakes contest and told me about it. We both really like threadless and thought it sounded like a fun idea! We were right! we went on the website and looked throught the t-shirts to see which ones looked like fun to do. Niether of us had any experience with cake decorating, but were pretty artsy so we gave it a shot...
I saw "we're Toast" and thought it would make such a cool cake!
So a few days later, we went out, bought some cake stuff, and started baking!
I used yellow cake mix on the inside ( it was a little bit grean because of the blue cake mix i used for another entry that i mixed in, but who cares? its the outside that counts!!)
I baked two rectangular cakes and cut them into 4 smaller cakes and stacked them all on top.
I just whipped up a batch of homemade icing, bought some colored fondant, and viola! I made a really cool (in my opinion) cake to show off to my friends!
My sister an I had so much fun making them! We took tons of pictures and put them all up on facebook, were even making a youtube video documenting the whole two day process!
I ended up being so proud of my "We're Toast" cake!
I almost didn't want to cut into it...
but of course i did! and it was great!!
In fact, I'm eating a piece as im typing!
I will definatly be entering this contest again!
