Funkalicious

Description
I am so hyped up on cake and sugar! First I'd like to thank my parents for letting my use their fabulous kitchen. My (not-as-fabulous) kitchen is in boxes as I move into a new place.
This project was super fun, and a lot more work than I thought it would be. Overall I think it took about 20 hours, but a good chunk of that was due to me only having one 9x13 pan.
I chose Funkalicious as my design because of the clean lines and bright colors, and who doesn't like a funky astronaut?
The cake is boxed white cake mix with oodles of gel food coloring, and I made royal icing (with real egg whites) in white, yellow, red, and blue. The black outlining is Wilton-in-a-tube.
