A Fine Day

Description
I decided to make my cake using the design of the 'A Fine Day' t-shirt because I thought it was cute and would work well for a cake. I baked my chocolate fudge cake on the first day, and the second day I decorated. I covered my cake in buttercream and then used marshmallow fondant over that for the base blue colour. I decided to put a border around the bottom of the cake with more fondant to mimic the neck opening of the t-shirt.
Piping the design with buttercream onto the fondant was a little tricky, but fun nonetheless. The decorating only took a couple of hours and I really enjoyed trying my hand at tiny piping designs.
I like the look of the cake when we cut into it too, the contrast of the blue against the dark chocolate of the cake was cool. Then my husband and I ate some cake. It was yum.
