Description
This cake is a simple chocolate cake with simple buttercream decorated with marzipan. It's totally vegan and was totally delicious. It wasn't time consuming. I didn't spend a whole lot of time on the cake at all (check out that icing job), all of the effort went to the spinning of marzipan yarn.
Those yarn balls were a lot of fun to make. They are so cute I want to pet them and coo at them. When it came time to make that little sheep's face, oh my. She's just so adorable I don't know what to say. I had a hard time cutting into her (so not vegan).
It's a good thing those pics disappeared from my camera so you won't have to see all the gore. I added a post-cake-cutting knife-shot as sort of a dramatic reenactment. Don't get too scared now, guys, it's just pretend.
