Musical Meditation

This cake was for a young lady's first music recital after graduation from the Music Conservatory. Her mother wanted something unusual, but with a music theme. This was a chocolate cake, and I used rolled fondant for the smooth look, and made the the dough from scratch. I made the music notes ahead of time, using gum paste. This process took about 8 hours to make.
