Burgervetica cake by Purbasha Saha

Description

This is a hamburger cake inspired by the "Burgervetica" T-shirt. It is made out of two different cake flavors. The beef patty is made out of rich chocolate cake while the buns are a yellow pound cake split in halves. The yellow cake was purposely baked at a higher temperature to form a natural dome.

The cake has vanilla buttercream with orange marmalade as a filling between all layers. The top layer is covered with beige fondant and handpainted to look like a real bun.

The lettuce and cheese is acheived by using fondant. The cheese is cut in triangles while the lettuce is litterally rolled and torn by hand to get the edge effect. The ketchup on the cake is red color buttercream frosting randomly piped.

This cake took me around four hours to make and was completely done by me.
