Description
I'm gonna tell you this cake story but first of all I want to apologize for my not-perfect English as I'm a french native speaker!
Anyway, when i saw this contest I knew I wanted to be a part of it because it's a great challenge. I don't have much skills in sculpting or painting on cakes but that was the perfect occasion to try and see what I could come up with.
So, yeah I choose this design cause I wanted to draw on my cake, not sculpt or build or whatelse. This drawing made me think of the french painter Bernard Buffet, that's why I choose it. I thought it would be a good idea to try to reproduce it.
I choose to make a grapefruit genoise filled with caramel mousse and grapefruit buttercream.
I liked that combination and so did everyone who ate it!
I'm quite happy with the result even though I think I could have done a little bit better!
Hope you enjoy it!
