When I Was A Pumpkin

This is my first time designing a cake. I know it's not Halloween now, but I thought this would be an awesome cake to make. I started with a lemon scented yellow cake with vanilla frosting covered with fondant. Baking the cake was the easy part. I used a bundt cake mold to try and get the ridges more like a pumpkin. Plus another 9" round cake to make it more taller. I didn't think fondant would be so hard to roll out, which took the longest. I tried going for a 3-d effect by layering the top layer and cutting out the face so it would stand out more. Like if you were inside a pumpkin looking through the holes. Then I painted the whole thing with food coloring. Took roughly the whole day to make. Now where can I serve a Halloween themed cake in July? Hmm... =]
