Springfield Still Life

Description
I love anything to do with cake and when I heard about this competition I thought I would give it a go. I chose Springfield Still Life because not only am I a Simpsons fan, but I thought it would be the perfect challenge. After about a month of overly exaggerated planning, I finally got to work on this cake and finished it with only a few difficulties.
Everything is edible accept for a few dowels and toothpicks that were used to hold up the plant (Marge’s hair) and the lamp (Lisa). I used vanilla cake for the base and covered it with vanilla frosting dyed light blue to match the carpet of the real Simpson living room. The couch is made from rice krispies and frosting. Everything else was made from rice krispies and covered in fondant.
I enjoyed this project very much and learned a lot.
