Description
This is my first entry on ThreadCakes. As soon as I saw “Fail”, I knew it would be a fun design to turn into a cake. Plus, when things went wrong, I could simply say “Fail” and it went with the theme.
It basically took me an entire weekend to make this cake from letting the cakes cool to dealing with the humidity and fondant. I baked two flavor cakes for the tiers. One was vanilla and the other was chocolate. Both were tasty.
I used wooden dowels to keep the cake from toppling over (the only non-edible part of the cake. Along with the cake board which is covered in fondant). Originally, I made the moon out of rice krispies, but it ended up breaking. Fail. So I switched to fondant. Like most things, not everything went smooth, but I’m pleased with the cake. Thanks for looking!
