Let It Grow

I love music and this print was just Rockin'. My sister plays wicked guitar so I decided to give her the cake. Which she loved of course, who doesn't love cake?! :) As you may know, I have tweaked a few entries and this one isn't any different. I went with a fall tree look, and a marbled green guitar.

I used the same chocolate cake as my previous cakes, lol I basically made a huge chocolate cake and divided it into entries. I carved the shape of the guitar, iced it and covered with marbled fondant. The bridge is covered with chocolate fondant. I used my sugar-craft gun again with the mesh attachment hoping it would give a wood grain effect. I used spaghetti noodles for the strings and the tremolo bar. I cut out the leaves and embossed them and let them dry. I made the birds from a silicone mold.
