Description
I am both a scientist (well, a biology grad student) and a bartender. I must have this shirt! However, being a poor grad student, I don't have the money to spend on the shirt and so I have settled for making the cake version. It's cheaper because it's also food!
This cake was also the perfect opportunity to use all three sizes of cupcake baking tins that live in my apartment. The cupcakes are peanut butter cake with vanilla buttercream icing. Peanut butter is one of my favorite food groups. The cupcakes are upside-down, and I covered them with frosting (no fondant!). The red beer cups (ah, college...) and the molecular bonds are all gum paste.
Mmmmm... tasty, tasty ethanol... I mean, cake.
