Tokyo Extreme Part 2

Description
I found this image and fell in love with the colors! I wanted to try a 2-D entry where the entire this is painted with food coloring so this is what I came up with.
The entire project took me about four days in between working and what not, but everything held up pretty well, including the color, and ended up being an awesome project! I started by covering the cake in fondant, then gathered all of my food colors and watered down the ones I needed, starting with the kimono. I moved onto the red back ground, her skin and the gun, and ended with her face (I was so scared about that part!). For the flowers I used a wet q-tip to remove some of the color so you get the different shades of pink and the shadowing and outlines them in red to define them. I even did the same thing, only with a wet paintbrush, for the flowers on the obi.
Lastly I dressed up the border of the cake with different shades of pink flowers from the image and took it outside for a photo shoot!
My favorite part ended up being her face and hair and I am so glad I got to participate this year! I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did enjoy making it and eating it!
