Birdphabet

These cupcakes were made with a doubled basic vanilla cake recipe. The birds, birdhouses, and labels are all made with a combination of fondant and gum paste. They are drawn with edible markers.

The cupcakes took about a week to make. The baking and frosting did not take long, but the birds took several days to draw and cut out. The alphabetical aviary was my favorite part, because I love to draw detailed designs!
