All of Time and Space

I decided to do this design because, well, it's pretty. I've only watched one season of Doctor Who, but I love it, and can't wait to watch more **grumble, grumble husband dragging his feet**. I made a chocolate cake with chocolate Italian meringue buttercream and then covered it with chocolate marshmallow fondant, that I tinted black. After that, I painted it with tinted royal icing. This is my first time painting anything, so it was a little weird, but I got a few helpful tips from my dad, who has painted cartoons all my life. It probably took me an hour or so to paint it, because I kept deciding I wanted to add more dots of "paint" or change the way the colored parts of the space looked. It's definitely a technique I'd like to try again.

My parents came over and helped me eat it, which has become a threadcakes tradition for us, since my husband runs lukewarm when it comes to cake. It was pretty delicious.
