Breakfast in Bed

Description
This is my second cake for the contest. It was a gift for a friend. The cake had to be small, because the next day my friend was going on vacation and they had no time to eat a big cake. I went to visit her in the morning for a cup of coffee so the design of Breakfast in Bed was the perfect one! She loved the cake and I had so much fun making it.
The base is cocoa flavored and filled with strawberry cream cheese . The only not edible thing are the two sticks in the sausage's arms. Sausages are made of cake spread with chocolate and covered with fondant,the fried eggs and the bacon are made of fondant, the cake is covered with fondant. I found that if you paint black borders on the figures they will look like cartoons. I have spent one whole morning making two fried eggs, two sausages and two slices of bacon (watching my favorite cake show ( do you know Duff Goldman ? ) for inspiration;)) but I am very with the result !
