The Communist Party

My friend asked me what my favorite Threadless shirt is, naturally I replied, "The Communist Party." Then she dropped the bomb, "We're going to make it into a cake." Parties are fun so we used funfetti cake mix and made all the frosting and fondant by hand. I sculpted the party hats, solo cup and commie hats out of fondant while the cake was covered in butter cream frosting. It took us about 1.5 hours for the decorating, plus the baking time, about 30 minutes. Since the cake was for a Communist Party, we only took small bites so we could share it with everyone, but it was a party in our mouths!
