Pandamonium cake by Emily Freeman

Description

After making and decorating my first cake, I was allowed to work with fondant in larger batches, so I decided to create a panda. I used a basic white cake as the base and dyed the buttercream frosting green so it would be like a jungle. I spent the most time forming the panda and then painted it with gel food coloring. I made the helicopter and the tank out of fondant as well and colored them with a mix of green and brown liquid food coloring that I kneaded together to make a camo coloring. Making the figures took the longest, around an hour, plus drying time for the panda. We decided to take little bites out of the cake so it looked like part of the cliff broke off (this was mainly because I wouldn't let anyone come near it with a knife).
