Lady Fox cake by Słodkie Marzenia

Description

t took mi literally a minute to decide on baking this particular cake when I found out that my expected guests would come down a day earlier than predicted... But let's start from the beginning.

The basis was a chocolate brownie cake without flour, which after baking slightly collapses. The dough must be well chilled in a refrigerator before use. The cavity was filled with frozen raspberries and whipped cream. Then the phone rang and it turned out that friends come to celebrate my name day just this very evening. I did not have much time. That's why I decided to use a sponge cake, which is left after the last cake. In Poland all birthday cakes are made of a thin delicate sponge cake and often leave me with pieces that I have to freeze for later. I use those in a situation when I do not have time to bake a cake from scratch or to do a delicious tiramisu. Homemade sponge cake is much better than the one from the store.

Returning to the cake: the whole thing is covered with buttercream and fondant .
Very often I paint the drawings directly on the cake, but in this case, it was only at a time when the dough got cool that I could perform drawing. First I sketched the outlines using an edible pen. Then I applied the color paint brush, expanded black sketch and later added a bright contrast white paint. Then I cut out the drawing and charted the cake. During the work I prepared a little video, but unfortunately I did not notice that the webcam was turned upside down, so it's rather useless now. Pity. Anyway, I did the drawing and looked at the pattern on the computer, to be sure it's ok.

Well, the cake turned out to taste very good. :) My kids simply love brownies with whipped cream and raspberries, and a combination of dark chocolate with sweet fondant proved too delicious not to eat it wight away.
