Tyrannosaurus Walkman

I missed out entering last year, i started my entry and well, life get in the way and i never got to complete it, so this year i promised myself I would make the time! I have 2 little girls who are dinosaur crazy and I've always wanted to make one so I took this opportunity. I started him on Sunday afternoon and completed him Monday evening. He is made from delicious chocolate fudge cake filled with my favourite, vanilla bean Italian meringue buttercream. i used a little rice krispies to add his underbelly, legs and chin. i used handmade Vera Miklas modelling chocolate to add some of the details and to make his headphones. He is covered in Satin Ice fondant and completely handprinted with the exception of a little shading on the board for shadow. I also added some drool with isomalt! When choosing colours I found it quite difficult, depending on the device I was viewing him on, sometimes he was grey, sometimes green so I went with green in the end. I really enjoyed making him, so much so I was forgetting to take photos along the way! Next year I will make a video I think!
