Description
I spent a long time debating on which of the clever shirt designs to use for my cake, and I finally decided on Hey, Mr. Blue Sky. It was SO much fun to make! I chose it because it it's just such a transition from sad to happy, all in one cake.
It took me about three hours to make the marshmallow fondant, buttercream frosting, carve the cake and to decorate it. It was only my second time making marshmallow fondant, and once again I was amazed at how easy it was to make! And it tastes like peeps :)
Anyway, I took a taste (or twenty.) of the vanilla pound cake as I was carving it, and it tastes like a vanilla milkshake ...yummm! All of the decorations are fondant, hand painted on with paste colors mixed with vodka, and let me tell you that my hands are pretty much black right now from the dye!
