Description
One day, I thought, "hey I have a day off from work today. let's make another threadcake!" and spnent the next hour browsing pictures until I found one that I adored, and then spend the next 5 hours decorating said cake :)
The woman is yellow pound cake and the mountains are red velvet.The gray and white frosting is buttercream, and the black icing is chocolate buttercream with black dye added to it. It is all hand carved and hand piped, with the aid of paintbrushes to make the cloth-y look of the kimono and painting the sun. Her pipe is a popsicle stick, painted black.
All in all, I'd say that this was a day off well spent.
