Beauty before Death

After spending hours looking at all the tons of designs, I kept coming back to the Beauty Before Death, I guess because of its colored Medusa look. Anyway, I baked pound cake and cut the circles with biscuit cutters then stacked them, ice, carved and covered with fondant. Then the fun began. All the snakes are fondant and gum paste. I rolled the fondant with multiple colors and then did the touch up with powdered colors. It took me about two days to complete because of the drying time. I wanted to try and achieve a 3D look instead of decorating on a flat surface. The pound cake fed four people. I had fun with this one.
