Search and Rescue

The "Search and Rescue" design is my favourite shirt from Threadless, so my husband Tyler Kuhn and I had to try and make it. Tyler designed the maze, which I then got the joy of icing it. Thank God we were trying to make it look like a hedge so we wanted it to have a rough texture...it would have been really tricky to ice all those tiny little pieces smoothly. As it was I was covered in bright green icing - my face, my pants, even under my shirt (I have no idea how that happened). Then I put together all of the animals out of fondant. Our stuffed giraffe Manfred was very, very pleased with the results.
