Description
Day one, I baked one box of cake mix for a basic two layer round cake and covered it in a frosting made with whip cream and instant pudding mix. I then made a batch of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (also with instant pudding mix in it).
Day two, I made fondant with a recipe I found online using corn syrup, shortening, clear vanilla extract and LOTS of powder sugar. It took many tries to get it onto the cake in one piece. I also covered two cookies with white fondant and added two Junior mint candies for the two eyes.
I got the cake done just in time for my sons birthday party. At first everyone just wanted to eat the junior mint candies haha. But once we dished out and tried the cake, everyone loved it. It worked out great.
