Cubed

Yes! I made it under the deadline!
I had grand plans to bake Threadcakes this summer, but life kept getting in the way.

Here is my last minute entry. As soon as I saw this design it cried out to me to be made into a cake.

The cake is vanilla pound cake (and I forgot to take pictures of the baking process - I hope the dirty dishes in the sink are evidence enough) carved into two cubes, filled and base coated with vanilla buttercream, and decorated with fondant.

I have no idea how many hours this took. A lot. I was in the zone. I lost count.

After all that work I didn't want to eat it, just look at it.
