Pin Cushion Pin Up

This was my second entry this year. I was interested in working in just black and white! I started out with 3 8 x 10 cakes. I then carved into a round shape and crumbcoated. I then shaped some more in to the pin cushion shape. Then I crumbcoated again and covered in fondant. I next used a fondant tool and pressed into the pin cushion to get the design show and handpainted with white gel food coloring. Once dry then I used fondant and sculpted the body of the pin up and used a scoring tool to create the stitching. Once she was together I used more gel to add in the highlights and hair coloring. I added a final light airbrush coat to seal it all together! Thanks for looking!!
