We Were Tomatoes

This is my third entry to Threadcakes, but it's the first one in 2-D. This is my favorite Threadless shirt I have, so I knew I needed to make a cake version of it. The cake is a nice Red Velvet cake to look extra Ketchuppy. I baked the cake and covered it with a cream cheese icing, then mixed some olive green fondant and rolled it out over the top of the cake. Everything on top is made of fondant that I tinted, and their eyes are drawn on with food marker.

I've included a picture of the side to show it really is 2-D, because from the top it really looks like the little tomatoes are jumping up at you ;). This cake has tasted the best so far, you can't beat a good Red Velvet cake.
