Under My Bed cake by Jennifer Davis

Description

One morning I went to wake up my son and he informed me there had been a monster in his room.
“A monster?” I said, “Where is he? What did he do?”
“He went to sleep,” replied my son.
“Sleep?”
“Yes, he came in my bed. He went to sleep. He took all my pillow.” My son was clearly put out by having to share his pillow with a monster.

The next morning he reported that the monster had been there again, and took his pillow again. This happened the day after that, and the day after that, until it became a routine complaint.

Then one morning I realized it had been a few days since I’d heard about the pillow-hogging monster, so I asked him where he was.
“He’s gone,” said my son.
“Gone?” I asked.
“Yes, he’s gone,” my son replied, “He kept taking all my pillow, so I ate him.”

Now he and his brother get to eat a whole lot more monsters. They’re thrilled.
